![]() Within the framework of its restructuring andof its strategy of upgrade, the Tunisian Athletics Federation has just signedan agreement on Saturday, January 15th, 2010 with his counterpart French, in viewof tightening the relationships between both institutions and strengtheningtheir cooperation. In theirrespective short speeches president Fathi Hachicha and Bernard Amselem,respectively president of the FTA and the FFA have both reminded the historiclinks between both countries and the already intense cooperation which exists inall the domains between Tunisia and France. During ameeting between the executives of both federations, the program for 2010 was setup with the various operations which they will lead together in the training ofathletes, the coaches and officials, in the medical follow-up of the athletesand in the assistance in marketing. A particular point in the program for year 2010is dedicated to the organization of the meeting West Med which groups together annuallythe athletes of eight western countries of the Mediterranée, a meeting that Tunisia had already hosted a first time in2006. President Fathi Hachicha invited, in this occasion, the FFA and the otherfederations of the Mediterranée to commit in a process of wider cooperation bycreating in particular a Union of Athletics of the Mediterranean Sea. Thanking the president of the FTAfor its idea, president Amsalem has in his turn called to the achievement ofthe project by the holding as soon as possible of a meeting in Tunis grouping together the federationsof the Mediterranean circumference, to which invitation letters are going to besent as quickly as possible. The agreement of a renewable duration of two yearsalso plans an exchange important enough in participation of the athletes ofboth countries in the competitions both in France and in Tunisia. So the French and Tunisianathletes will have access mutually to the national championships of bothcountries with unanimously fixed staff. |
