 Olympic champion and multiple medallist Mohamed Gammoudi was admitted to a hospital in Tunis where he underwent delicate medical surgery. The 71-year old Gammoudi is the only Tunisian to be Olympic medallist and one of the greatest distance runner in historym, having clinched 4 medals in three successive Games: Tokyo, Mexico a Munich (1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze).
